Twitter has open API and classes using which developers can create new applications and utilities based on Twitter, we have seen and used many of them. But here comes TwitterDrive that lets you use Twitter as an online storage platform, a great innovative piece of software.
TwitterDrive has a clean interface with a nice UI for uploading and deleting files. Each file is divided into chunks of 140 bytes each, that is the amount of space reserved per tweet. Every file is compressed and base64 encoded. You can only upload 14 thousand bytes per hour.
My Review: The software is still in its earlier stages. I’ve tried it twice to upload the files but both the times it failed and it crashes often on Windows 7. You can give it a try and post the results here.
