Google has added yet another security feature in Gmail that helps you to track recent sessions & sign out remotely. You can access this feature by clicking on the ‘Details‘ link in the footer, it will show your latest activity & locations where your email can be accessed.

If the account is open in a remote location than it will show the IP Address, which you can track.

This could be useful if you want to find whether someone else has access to your account: you’ll be able to find the IP address and the date of the most recent activity in your account. If you find any malicious access to your account, you can sign out immediately by clicking the Sign out all other sessions under Details link.

This feature will be rolled out in the new version of Gmail which is available for Firefox & Internet Explorer 7. Google Adsense & Orkut already have session tracking feature.

Fantastic Gmail Feature to keep you updated by tracking your gmail account session details . It has features like , when you account session was activated last time , from which interface it has opened like from browser , mobile etc ; ip address details from where it has last activity . These feature may be useful to keep you aware of sessions tracking by which confidential information can be secured .
