Here is a simple trick with which you can search Twitter and Google at the same time. The Twitter results are shown in real time embedded in the Google Search Result page. Type in a query in Google and you will get search results from Twitter along with Google.
For this you need to use Firefox as your browser with Greasemonkey installed. The Greasemonkey can be installed from here. Now install a small script for Greasemonkey from here. Developed by Mark Carey, this script shows the most recent 5 tweets for the query that you have searched for. The only downside of this hack is that it is only available for Firefox as a Greasemonkey Script.
