How to make a Profile Backup in Firefox 3.6 using about:support

Firefox 3.6 comes with a new feature called about:support which list all the technical information related to Firefox. It lists Firefox version, extension, plugins installed and the preferences that are modified.

Here’s how you can use it to make a backup of your Profile folder.

1. Goto address bar and type about:support or click Help > Troubleshooting Information.

2. A support page will open. Click ‘Open Containing Folder’ button.

3. As soon as you click it, your Profile folder will open up.

4. This folder contains all the extensions, plugins, settings etc. Copy this folder and save it as a backup.

5. If you have multiple profiles you can click Profiles tab to move up one level. It will display all the profiles.
