Windows Vista is slowly becoming a thing of past with Windows Seven gaining popularity day by day. But Microsoft is doing everything to stop this piece of crap from dyeing.
Recently they released an Application Compatibility List for Vista that contains information of around 8700+ applications that are compatible or not compatible to work under Windows Vista. The excel file containing the compatibility list can be downloaded from here.
Microsoft also promised that applications that work with Vista will continue to work with Windows 7.

Microsoft also has a website about compatibility that allows users to check to see if specific hardware or software will work with Vista. Here is the link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Default.aspx
